Every building has its heart - and often, it’s the kitchen.
As part of our artist series at Local: Kensington, we worked with Mornington Peninsula-based artist Charlie Nanos, whose playful, nostalgic style brings warmth and story to the everyday. His commissioned artwork features two side-by-side panels depicting the vibrant streetscapes of the Kensington neighbourhood - offering a colourful, character-filled view into the community just outside our doors.
His framed works in the kitchen are imaginative, light-hearted and full of soul. They reflect the kind of place the Studio Kitchen is meant to be - easy, welcoming and always a little unexpected.

Just like his personal journey from tradesman to artist, Charlie’s work reminds us that beauty often lives in life’s smaller moments.
